Lord Ganesha – also known as Vighna Harta (remover of obstacles) is a revered Hindu God. Hindus offer their prayers to the elephant-headed God before conducting any Puja or beginning a new project.

Even in wedding invitation cards, the lord’s name is first mentioned so as to prevent obstacles during the ceremony.

Tuesdays are dedicated to Lord Ganesha, also popular as Ganpati. Every Mangalwar (Tuesday), you can chant the following Mantra to seek blessings from Lord Ganesha and prevent hurdles on the path to success, happiness.

वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय सूर्य कोटी समप्रभा

निर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्व-कार्येशु सर्वदा॥

Vakratunda Mahakaya Suryakoti Samaprabha

Nirvighnam Kuru Me Deva Sarva-Kaaryeshu Sarvada॥

Meaning of this Ganesh Mantra:

O Lord, with a curved trunk and a huge body, you emit the radiance of crores of Suns.

Remove all obstacles and bless me so that I succeed in every task that I undertake now and in future.

Lord Ganesha is worshipped first among all the other Gods in Hinduism. While performing any Puja, the elephant-headed god is first offered prayers so as to avoid any obstacles (Vighna). Also popular as Ganpati, Ganesha grants wisdom and blesses devotees with prosperity.

Here’s a Mantra dedicated to Lord Ganesha which can be chanted on Tuesdays for good fortune:

ॐ श्रीम गम सौभाग्य गणपतये

वर्वर्द सर्वजन्म में वषमान्य नमः॥

Om Shreem Gam Saubhagya Ganpataye

Varvarda Sarvajanma Mein Vashamanya Namah॥

Each God and Goddess in Hinduism serves a specific purpose. If Maa Lakshmi is Goddess of wealth, then Kubera is her male counterpart.  



Each human desires to become rich and prosperous for better quality of life and living. One needs to work hard honestly and efficiently to earn money and the riches. There is certainly no shortcut to it. Wealth earned by deceiving others does no good to us. And hence it is important to be honest.

Here’s a mantra that will help us attract wealth with the grace of the Lord.

Besides walking on the right path, by chanting this divine Kubera Mantra with deep devotion and gratitude towards the almighty, we can attract wealth.
